My name is Charlene Hansard. I became a certified court reporter in 2002.

As a legal secretary and then paralegal for 20 years, I had a passion for the legal field.

I attended Brown College of Court Reporting as a steno student before making the switch to voice.

Within months of certification, I started using Dragon Naturally Speaking and Computer-Aided Transcription software. I have an extensive background with voice writing software and use realtime technology every day as a working freelance court reporter.

Thanks to my good friend, Dessa Van Schuyver, I learned more about Dragon than I thought was possible. I would now like to share all of that knowledge that Dessa gave me over the years with new students.
